Bio
Onur is an award-winning designer and director from Istanbul, Turkey. He studied traditional painting and figure drawing followed by an animation degree during which he took part in several collaborative exhibitions with works in both print and animation.
Professionally, he started by directing commercials for international brands such as Lipton, Guinness, Chocapic, Arcelik, Nestle, Asics, Magnum, Audi, Unilever and EA. He directed Pens for Amnesty International which won a Lion in Cannes in 2014 followed by 13 other awards from the Clio Awards, LIA, Eurobest, Epica, Shots Awards, Cristal and the Art Director’s Club in Paris in 2015. Outside of commercial work, he conceived the art direction of the opening titles of David Fincher’s version of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” by combining his design, animation and creative direction.
